We designed Atmos Weather as a premium daily utility, not a cluttered dashboard. The product combines immersive weather visuals with practical forecasting so users can make confident day-to-day decisions faster.

Core App Experience

Atmos Weather is organized around four primary tabs:

• Home: current conditions, hourly preview, key metrics, and weather insight highlights.
• Radar: map-based precipitation and storm context.
• Locations: current location plus saved places, search, and location management.
• Forecast: expanded hourly and daily planning detail.

Accounts and Plans

Atmos Weather supports guest use, account-based sync, and premium upgrades.

• Guest: immediate weather access with conservative refresh and limited persistence.
• Free account: account sync and core feature set with location limits.
• Plus / Pro: expanded saved-location capacity, richer widgets, faster refresh priority, and additional premium features.

Current plan details are available inside the app and may be updated over time as features evolve.

Technology and Architecture

• Mobile client backed by a Node.js + PostgreSQL API platform.
• OpenWeather One Call 3.0 for weather datasets.
• Google Places API (New) for autocomplete and canonical place selection.
• Server-side integrations for keys/security, with no direct provider key exposure in client apps.
• Rounded coordinate bucket caching, request coalescing, and stale-while-revalidate refresh strategy.
